Visas post-Brexit, causing more issues for Artists, Venues & Events
Over 110 artists have signed the open letter, including Liam Gallagher, Ed Sheeran and Elton John.
It said that government have failed artists over post-Brexit travel rules for UK musicians; making concert tours and touring events difficult to organize and administrate.
Obviously this could also have a detrimental effect on British events venues and British fans wanting to see European performers in the UK.
At a time when the UK events industry is facing the prospect of another difficult summer; these extra hindrances provide yet another issue.
Responding to the letter, a UK government spokesperson said that musicians’ concerns were being taken seriously.
Hopefully, the issues can be resolved in what are already very difficult times for UK events and venues as well as our artists.
