Green with Envy

St Patrick’s Day is coming! How are you celebrating?

Every year, we get a sudden influx of green wristband orders at the end of February for St Patrick’s Day. We’ve seen them all; green bands, text, graphics, etc. You name it and it can probably be green. The event itself takes place every year on the 17th March and is a bank holiday in Ireland. Celebrations often include parades, street fairs, club events and bar discounts. Wristbands are ordered for such events covering the entry access, discounts and offers, and participants.

St Patrick’s Day Wristband Styles

Tyvek is the most popular material for single use wristbands. The paper-like material is desirable for many reasons, but mostly, its popularity is because it is cheap and comfortable to wear. Tyvek wristbands have a strong self-adhesive tab closure and can be printed in full colour if need be. However, plain tyvek wristbands are just as desirable as printed wristbands because it is cheaper and buyers can write on the wristbands themselves with any pen type.

Vinyl wristbands are the next big favourite for day events. The plastic-like material is stronger than tyvek, with a popper closure. Vinyl wristbands are secure, single use, and water resistant. The wristbands can be worn for up to several days unlike tyvek. See below for a colour list.
